Our villa is in a private estate just behind the marina of Lagos in the Western Algarve. The town Lagos, pronounced lah-goss or Lah-gosh was once the capital of the Algarve and is a city that is full of history and tradition, at the same time being one of the most cosmopolitan places in the Algarve. Today Lagos is a prosperous, lively town offering something to all age groups. The old town is a warren of cobbled streets hosting a variety of restaurants, cafés and bars specialising in international cuisine and traditional fish dishes. If you enjoy shopping then why not take a walk through the narrow cobbled streets that are lined with orange trees and try to bag a bargain in many of the boutiques. There is also a working harbour that sees local fishermen emptying their catch daily, whilst the picturesque marina is a popular mooring for yachts and pleasure craft.
